چکیده

A regulation of converters connected in parallel is discussed considering their stored energy and passivity characteristics. From the viewpoint of stored energy, a new regulation method to conserve and share the stored energy can be found. The energy stored in inductors and capacitors is transferred to loads so that the load keeps the energy dissipation constant. Though numerical simulation, the method is validated for a parallel converter system. key words: parallel converter, energy, passivity, PWM, transient

Passivity-Based Control of the DC-DC Buck Converters in High-Power Applications

In this paper, a novel approach for control of the DC-DC buck converter in high-power and low-voltage applications is proposed. Designed method is developed according to passivity based controller which is able to stabilize output voltage in a wide range of operation. It is clear that in high-power applications, parasitic elements of the converter may become comparable with load value and hence...

Analysis and Simulation of ZVS Methods in Full Bridge Converters and Realization of a 3 KW Prototype

One of the difficulties with PWM switching converters is high switching loss and electromagnetic interference due to switching at non-zero voltage and current, which limits the operating frequency. In order to reduce the converter volume and weight (by increasing the frequency) and reducing switching losses, zero voltage and current switching methods are recommended. In this paper, four main ze...

Conduction and Dead-Time Voltage Drops Estimation of Asymmetric Cascaded H-Bridge Converters Utilizing Level-Shifted PWM Scheme

Linear AC power supplies can be replaced by their nonlinear switching counterparts due to the lower voltage drops and higher efficiency and power density of switching-mode inverters. Multilevel cascaded H-bridge (CHB) converters are the preferred inverter structure because of modular configuration, control, and protection. The output voltage quality in CHB converters depends on the number of ou...

A New Intelligent Controller for Parallel DC/DC Converters

In this paper, the immune controller, is used to control the paralleled DC-DC converters. A PID controller is first applied and its coefficient is optimized using an intelligent (PSO) algorithm. Immune controller is then added to PID controller and an immune PID controller is formed. Two methods have been suggested to determine non-linear behavior of immune controller. In the first method, an e...
